Painting Title = “Wurm”

Wurm (dragon) or European dragon, a legendary creature in folklore and mythology.
The real deal is that a “wurm” should have bat like wings.
This painting shows a creature without wings so should have been titled “wyrm” which means “serpent”, but at the time I had plans of a really cool painting (that I still haven’t done) that would have taken the title so I called this one “Wurm” instead.
Hopefully my misuse of the word will cause nobody distress.
Anyways, this painting is acrylic on canvas and was done as part of my Red Region series.
It is a tattoo inspired oriental – american stylized dragon.
It does not breathe fire.
I painted this in 2009.
