I have always enjoyed fantasy novels.
Reading fantasy and sci-fi is one of my favorite ways to wind down at night before trying to fall asleep.
So… when somebody comes in with a fun picture of a warrior dwarf they want tattooed on them, I am all for it.

Back in the 80’s fantasy themed tattoos ruled the popularity charts.
Wizards, dragons, griffons, unicorns, castles, warriors, elves… such fun!
It was also a time when everyone wanted single needle / freehand black-work.
A fad like that couldn’t exist today. Most people who tattoo can’t draw very well these days. They couldn’t pull off the drawing required.
Most people who tattoo these days don’t have the technical skills required either. They would just cut and scar with a single needle.
Yet… even though most of the new breed of tattooist are horrible posers, this is also an era of amazing tattoo art. There are a lot of fabulous newer tattooists out there.
I wonder what they could have done back in the days of single needle fine line and fantasy art.
Anyways… This guy brought in this drawing (ain’t my art) and wanted it pretty much as it was.
I did it in that old 80’s style that such tattoos should be done in (my own opinion of course) and had a lot of fun with it.
