Going through some files the other day I ran into a bunch of fun old stuff.
One thing was a bunch of banners for a section I used to have on AARRON.COM about 10 site versions ago. (O.k… exaggeration there, but it was few versions ago)
The section was called “Wicked” and it featured digitally enhanced erotic images.
Fun stuff done with pictures basically.
Though the subject matter was all sexual I would not have called it porn. It did have full on triple X action occasionally, but was just as apt to be only suggestive.
It was a pet project of mine and I made almost no money from it.
I certainly didn’t make enough to warrant the time involvement.
My only saving grace was that I was able to use the models from my regular shoots for this project without needing to pay any (or much) extra. Often I just saved one of the photo sets for myself to digitally screw around with and I guess it then just cost me the profits I would have otherwise made if I had used the set in a more traditional manner.
Yup… sex sells, but most people really don’t want it fancied up and packaged as art.
10 times the work for one tenth of the payout. (ain’t I the smart fella?)
Anyways… here is one of the banners for the section.
It is pretty funny to look at old banners. They seem so dated and out of place. The Internet has come a long way.
I chose this banner to show because it also has a straight on face shot of me on it, and I also look antiquated.
The banner was set to match a background image originally, so the little swirly images and text looked to be floating. Each image is from a different set with a different theme and girl.
In this case it was all redheads so when you clicked it brought you to a bunch of artsy/sexy/naughty stuff featuring redheads.

Cream Pie Just Sixty Nine Cents!
I must have been feeling very funny when I wrote that. I actually still have one of these cups and keep it full of pens and such at my place of work.

Sweet Dreams… A nice surreal feel going on here. I don’t even remember who the model is or what the photo set the image came from was about, but she is pretty and made for a great postage due coffee cup.
All in all there was just under 20 postage due images I found. I think though that more existed. I kinda recall having over two dozen available cup designs.
Could be wrong… Not that it really matters.
Besides being used for stickers, magnets, and coffee cups I also had a few made into actual postage stamps that where usable to mail stuff.
