This painting is called “spectacular”
It is also called “spectacular swap,” but spectacular ended up being it’s official title.

This painting evolved a lot during it’s making.
In other words it changed a ton from my original idea during the time I was painting it, and became something I originally wasn’t considering visually.
I often let my paintings take me wherever they wish in such a manner so as to see what comes about.
My original idea I still like though, so you very well may see something rather similar to this, but completely different in style appear here on artistic flow someday.
The change was primarily a visual one, not thematic.
The overall idea I was going for still exists in this artwork.
My idea was to paint something that expressed the elusive perfect couple swap that many who swing (aka the lifestyle) endlessly search for.
The perfect end to a perfect evening.
The couples click together and enjoy each others company immensely.
They have fabulous conversation, feel friendly and comfortable, are 100% turned on by the people, have the same ideas about what the lifestyle is and how to participate… and the sex is mind blowing.
I know it all sounds so simple, but getting 4 people to mesh up across the board in every way is probably less common than drawing 4 of a kind every hand your shuffled for 100 times in a row.
Heck, it is rare enough to find one person to like.
Even rarer to find somebody two people both like that much.
Chances of that third liking both of the first two people that much back?
Starting to sound impossible.
Now… take 4 people and get that all around glow going.
Ha ha ha, I would rather bet on a donkey to win the Kentucky Derby than the chances of such a meetup.
Still, it does happen.
I’ve met people who have experienced it.
Can it last? Become forever permanent?
Best-est buddies for ever and ever?
Doubt it.
Most one plus one relationships don’t make it. To many differences surface over time.
4 people = way doubtful.
For one night though… hell yes. Fireworks can happen.
Or at least I think it could.
For those out their in the world seeking that perfect and spectacular swap, I wish you luck.
Maybe my painting will bring you good luck.
For those who just fantasize about it, I hope I haven’t ruined your fantasy by talking about the complexities involved.
For those who would never even consider such an activity, I hope you can still find something groovy about my painting and enjoy it without needing to identify with the subject matter itself.
