The title of this one is “Untrammeled.”
Acrylic on canvas measuring I think 16″ wide x 20″ high, but as I write this it isn’t with me and I am spotty brained today so there is a slight possibility it is a bit bigger.
This one was painted over the course of close to two years, but in three days.
I painted the background one day and then let is sit for weeks in hope I’d be inspired by something or someone to paint something that would fit.
Eventually that happened and I did a rough paint sketch of the basic idea here, but other things (life is a bitch sometimes) kept me from painting it.
It was over a year and a half before I finally had the urge/feeling/need required to paint the figure again. It takes a feeling to get the expression right and I had no such feelings. Once I did though I jumped on it and painted the figure along with alterations to the background so as to express what I wished. I’m pretty darn satisfied with it.
