The original painting is 20″ wide x 24″ high on stretched canvas. Love song at dusk is a semi abstract, highly expressive, slightly erotic, and very sensual part of my Two Moons series of paintings.
It is not the first of the series, but it is the first of the paintings I am posting here. No particular reason for that except random chance.
So… semi abstract, highly expressive, slightly erotic, and very sensual is how I just described this. I guess that was part of my goal at least.
My main thing here is to combine (or attempt to combine) the raw energy and feelings which can be brought forth via abstract expression type artwork and combine it with expressive visual storytelling. My end result has turned out to be a bit of a visual puzzle for some while others get what is happening immediately. A few people can’t see anything in these works I’ve found as well. In this particular one for example many people see nothing beyond a leg or the moons. I’m ok with that, and I hope that the feeling I am pushing is still coming through.
This series of paintings is all about passion, connection, and fate. Ill divulge more as I go along with posting the images from the series.
Prints of this painting can be had via my pixels/Fine Art America portfolio.
