I titled this sketch “A smile in my bed.”
It was done with a black ink pigma pen on regular white drawing paper in one of my sketch books.
Usually I do my sketches super fast and try to stick to only the most important details.
This one however is a bit different because I was interrupted about a third of the way through with a minor phone call emergency.
Afterwards when I looked at the sketch I decided I liked where it was going to much to just toss it.
Getting back into it was odd because the flow was disrupted.
The result is rather interesting to me because I ended up actually sketching in a different manner. More pecking at the paper instead of attacking it.
I realize many of you may not see this in the final sketch, but I certainly do.
Nonetheless … it is a happy feeling sketch. I enjoy the vibe it puts off.
It is a nice moment.
